Visited a new bakery for me on Long Island this week, Dortoni's. They recently opened a second location in Commack near a lot of my customers in the Hauppauge. Bright interior with a wide variety of cakes and pastries. Had a lot of beautiful looking round cakes, including specialties like Brownie Torte, Salted Caramel, and Black & White cake. Unfortunately they had sold out of the Peanut Butter Torte I had seen on their website 😛 so decided to go with a more traditional yellow layer cake with fudge frosting. It was good but surprisingly only lightly sweet. Also got crumb cake, raspberry crumb danish and a NY specialty - the Black & White cookie. 😋
Saw some other good looking things so will definitely have to make another stop the next time I'm on Long Island!
