The last stop of my Pittsburgh Bakery tour last weekend was the Bartram House Bakery & Cafe in the Southside neighborhood. They have additional locations in Wexford and McMurray PA, but have only visited this one a few times as it's close to the Pitt campus.
It's located on the main drag of Carson Street near the Hot Metal Bridge, on the ground floor of an office/apartment building. It's got a large interior with lots of seating as it has a large cafe menu with sandwiches, salads, etc. Not surprisingly, haven't sampled anything but the baked goods! 😋
Have sampled things like the muffins and cookies on previous trips, this time I settled on a large chocolate chip scone and S'Mores bar. The scone was very good with a nice crunchy exterior and drizzled glaze on top. And the S'Mores bar was excellent with a nice graham cracker base, rich chocolate layer with toasted mini-marshmallows and chocolate chips on top.
They also have a nice variety of cupcakes, tarts, cakes and pies. I'm sure there will be a return visit here as well!

Looks fantastic! I just wonder if your family - say your beloved sister- is getting samples from your bakery travels.
