Stopped at the Muffin House Cafe this week, which has become a semi-regular stop when visiting customers in the Hopkinton area. They have other locations in Medway, Natick and Mendon, which my fellow pastry aficionado colleague Mark has brought me treats in the past. In fact, think it was Mark who introduced me to this bakery - thanks Mark!
As you can imagine from the name, the main attraction here are the muffins. Got a box for my customers down the road but didn't get any for myself this trip. Neglected to take pictures of the muffins purchased but have tried them several times and they're excellent! Have enjoyed the Coffee Cake and Cappuccino Chip ones on previous visits.
This visit got something I've enjoyed previously Chocolate Whoopie Pie and Peanut Butter Brownie, both of which are big and very tasty. Also got something called "Frozen Dough" which is like a cinnamon bun in the shape of a croissant. Really enjoy this pastry - especially in the morning with a nice strong cup of coffee. See picture at the bottom, couldn't resist and took a bite of before I could take the picture! 😋
They also had a decent variety of sandwiches and salads, which not surprisingly I haven't tried. 😉
Have tried and enjoyed the cake slices previously, as well as the many flavors of hot and iced coffee. Will definitely stop again the next time I'm in the area!
